While there are many different styles of fences, they typically are categorized as either “privacy”, “decorative”, and “functional”.
Most vinyl and aluminum fences will last upwards of 30 years. Cedar in our coastal area is usually good for around 15 years or more if properly maintained. Spruce and composite are more affordable options, but will likely need to be replaced within 10 years.
